Necessary products

  • 350 g cheesecake biscuits
  • 50 g of butter
  • 600 g of Cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 50 g of butter
  • 300 g of chocolate

Preparation method

Crush the cheesecake biscuits (350 g) into fine crumbs with your fingers or using a mortar and pestle. Add the melted butter (50 g) to them and stir until the whole crumb mixture is slightly moist. They are poured into a cake tin with a movable ring and pressed to the bottom until an evenly distributed dense cake is obtained.

To prepare the filling, first beat the melted butter (50 g) together with the sugar (150 g) with a mixer. Then gradually add eggs (4 pcs) and cream cheese (600 g) one by one. The mixture thus prepared is poured over the marshes.

The German cheesecake is baked in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 80 minutes, until it acquires a slightly golden color. Once baked, the oven is turned off and opened, leaving the dessert inside to stand for another 10 minutes.

During this time, the hard chocolate (300 g) is melted in a water bath and poured over the cheesecake. Refrigerate to set the chocolate and cut 10 minutes after removing from the fridge (so as not to break the chocolate crust on top).

For best results, the 1001 Recipes team recommends Victory Cheesecake Cookies because they are buttery and easy to crumble with your fingers. With them, you get a thick, aromatic and crunchy batter, which cannot be achieved with ordinary biscuits.
